Paymerang Partners with Wyoming Hospital Association to Help Deliver Exceptional Patient Care

Paymerang’s best-in-class Accounts Payable (AP) Automation solutions alleviate many of the pain points hospital finance departments are experiencing today. By partnering with Paymerang, the Wyoming Hospital Association (WHA) provides members with a time and cost-saving AP Automation solution that adds value and helps deliver exceptional patient care across their communities.

The Association, headquartered in Cheyenne, is a member-owned, private, non-profit organization. WHA’s mission is to advocate for hospitals and be the voice of healthcare in Wyoming. While the Association’s primary focus is representation and advocacy for Wyoming hospitals, WHA also provides data services, educational programs, and other various membership services.

Wyoming health systems are battling severe staffing shortages, supply chain issues, soaring inflation rates, increased expenses, and lingering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thin operating margins have also impacted Wyoming hospitals, jeopardizing patient access to care.

“Paymerang has been helpful to our members because we live in a time right now where margins in rural hospitals are already quite thin,” said Josh Hannes, Vice President of WHA. “We need to be looking at all the ways we can cut cost without diminishing patient care.”

AP staff who don’t use Paymerang spend most of their day on tedious manual tasks, including manual data entry, cutting checks, and stuffing envelopes, and responding to calls and emails about the status of supplier invoices and payments. Paymerang’s easy-to-use Invoice and Payment Automation platform saves users thousands of hours annually, allowing staff to focus on high-value tasks and strategic initiatives directly impacting patient outcomes.

WHA members who have implemented Paymerang benefit from increased efficiency, enhanced security, and better visibility into cash flow. Since going live with Paymerang in January 2022, Memorial Hospital of Carbon County has gained back 147 hours (18 business days), and Sheridan Memorial Hospital has gained back 93 hours (11 business days) since implementing Paymerang in September 2022.

“Paymerang is a company that wants to engage with our members and be a part of what we’re doing here in Wyoming. The way that they treat us, the association and our members has been really helpful,” Hannes added.

Implementing Paymerang takes less than 10 hours, and the solution works with almost every ERP in healthcare, including PointClickCare, Meditech, Lawson, Sage Intacct, Cerner, Epic, Matrix Care, Workday, Sage 100, QuickBooks, and Blackbaud.
